HISTORY OF ALHAMA SIGNATURE GOLF
The history of Alhama Signature Golf begins in 2005 with the development of the great urban project of Condado de Alhama. A real estate project with more than 4,500 homes and three 18-hole golf courses. The first course to be built was Alhama Signature Golf designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.
On his first visit in July 2007 Jack Nicklaus took his notes and sketched in his own handwriting what is now Alhama Signature Golf. On his second visit in March 2008 the «Golden Bear» gave instructions to complete the rest of the tasks, including details concerning the final layout of the course: shape and style of the bunkers, transition between grass and original areas, landscaping, etc. It was in 2009 when ALhama Signature opened its doors to the public until today.

An ecological Golf Course
One of the great peculiarities of Alhama Signature Golf is the type of grass that the course has: Paspalum, the grass of the future, resistant to irrigation with poor quality water and even with a high degree of salinity. It is also a very invasive plant that eliminates weeds.
